—Snaptrap

Snaptrap is a 20-foot Gooptar-Eating Plant created by Justin Wolfe and a recurring character in the Goop's World series. He has a grayish-green stem, grayish-green vine tentacles, a blue head, yellow petals, and yellow eyes with red pupils.

Snaptrap makes his debut appearance in Goop's World, serving as the boss of Petunia Forest.

Snaptrap has changed somewhat since his original incarnation. In the original draft of Goop's World, Snaptrap did not speak at all and had a small white flower in his mouth, which served as his weak spot.

Name originEdit

Snaptrap's name obviously comes from the words snap and trap.

PersonalityEdit

Snaptrap is an incredibly hammy plant who is extremely full of himself. He is also very gluttonous and is constantly hungry, usually for Goop and his friends. Snaptrap is a fluent speaker of jive, causing him to speak in unusual jive euphemisms that leave every other character confused and unable to comprehend him. Snaptrap is a fan of funk music.

AbilitiesEdit

Snaptrap, due to his size, is capable of devouring creatures the size of his head. Snaptrap also has several large vines at his disposal, as well as an army of Gooptar-Eating Plants and Petunias. He also possesses a toxic breath attack; however, the gas is shown to be very flammable.

In Goop GP, Snaptrap can leave a trail of thorn briars behind him as he drives.

HistoryEdit

Snaptrap first appears as the second boss of Goop's World; the boss of Petunia Forest. His weakness is the Flame Goop transformation, especially when Goop ignites the giant plant's toxic breath attack. After being defeated, Snaptrap crumbles into ashes.

Snaptrap and company take it easy for a while, participating in sporting events such as go-kart racing and playing a football-like sport. Snaptrap decides to take part in Goop GP.

Two years after the events of Opal HQ, Snaptrap reappears as the boss of Petunia Patch. This time, Snaptrap is about 1,000 feet tall, requiring Goop to use a transformation capable of Flight and Flame Powers. Once again, Snaptrap crumbles to ashes upon being defeated.
